Introduction:

A global player within the renewable energy sector are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to work on a wind farm project. Applicants should have senior level Procurement, Contract, or Commercial experience in the energy, oil & gas, nuclear, renewables

The Job:

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for contractual and commercial issues during the development of a multi-contract offshore wind project, from development to final accounts. The Contracts Manager should have a background in procurement / commercial / supply chain / contract management / legal specialists with experience gained in complex roles including joint ventures and large capital projects, with responsibility for delivery to a profit & loss account in highly regulated industries (e.g. offshore, renewables, rail, oil and gas, nuclear or chemical industry). Specific responsibilities of the Contracts Manager include:

  1. Commercial responsibility for the day to day management of significant contracts, variations and claims.
  2. Preparation, co-ordination and management of the tendering processes
  3. Dispute Resolution
  4. Maintain good working relationships with delivery teams, stakeholders, supply chain and consultants etc.
  5. Develop and implement contracting strategies in order to secure appropriate supply chain arrangements.
  6. Regular strategic review of results and forecasts in conjunction with the Commercial Project Manager

Prospective Contracts Managers should meet the following criteria:

  1. Degree or equivalent level of education, preferably in legal, general engineering, technical or commercial qualification. Desirable
  2. Knowledge of FIDIC and LOGIC contracts.
  3. Contract Management / Commercial / Procurement experience within offshore, rail, renewables, oil & gas, nuclear, petrochemical industries
  4. Experience in large projects in the energy sector
  5. Willingness to be based in London with up to 25% travel in Europe.
