Proven experience of leading and implementing UK and USA EAR and ITAR export shipping regulation and compliance within an aero manufacturing environment
An aerospace design and manufacturing business seek a professional experienced in leading UK EAR and USA ITAR export regulation process and compliance to lead all such export issues for there UK facility.
This is a newly created role to lead all Export regulation and administrative process from the UK for an extremely busy and well respected aerospace manufacturing business.
As the UK BAER (business area export respective) this role will report to the business unit Commercial Director but independently lead all UK and USA export process with a small supporting export administration team.
This will be an ideal role for a fully experienced Export and ITAR compliance manager to step into or equally a fit for a well experienced Senior commercial Export / Shipping officer with proven experience of leading and implementing EAR and ITAR seeking a step up in to a team management and UK lead.

Salary - £30000 - £35000 + benefits
Key role responsibilities:
• Ensure a robust process is in place for the import and export of all goods to/from the Company and for the receiving, storing, using, transmitting or otherwise handling of technical data, technology or software.
• Ensure fully auditable records are kept in line with UK, USA and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and enforce conformance to existing regulations and adapt processes to meet new regulatory requirements.
• Prepare any submissions required by export control authorities.
• Host external audits by regulatory bodies and undertake internal audits.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective action for all non-compliances.
• Identify, investigate and disclose as required potential violations.
• Keep senior management apprised of all significant open matters.
• Develop and maintain standard work tools and procedures.
• Lead and implement the jurisdiction and classification for parts and programmes working with other departments as required.
• Develop and maintain databases for controlled parts and programmes, associated licences and eligible personnel authorized to work on controlled programmes.
• Undertake licence applications and rating enquiries on the UK SPIRE system.
• Obtain TAA, MLA and related hardware licences where required and manage the US ITAR Licence Agreement Process.
• Act as the Empowered Official under the Technology Control Plan (TCP) and establish the necessary controls and procedures across the Company.
• Conduct compliance training and answer day-to-day export compliance questions.
• Co-ordinate with Import/Export Control & Management (IECM) and other BAER working groups to improve compliance programs throughout the Company.
• Approve export classification requests.
• Review and provide guidance on contract terms and conditions relating to import/export control.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers to provide and/or obtain necessary export licence documentation (e.g: end user declarations).
• Embrace the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) operating system to continually improve processes.
• Provide monthly compliance reports to the Commercial Director.
