Buyer / Senior Buyer

This is a newly created Buyer role within a business which is C £100m t/o and recognised a leading product distribution to the Agricultural and Construction UK industries.

The business has recently appointed a new Head of Procurement who is developing procurement process and cost savings across all business spend and building a professional procurement function.

In support to this the business seek to appoint a buyer / senior buyer who will work directly with the head of procurement and play a key role in supporting complete spend analysis, supplier review, sourcing and contract negotiation to result in bottom line cost savings and much closer supplier relationships.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a experienced buyer with procurement experience in SME procurement process and technical / engineering product environments who is seeking to take full ownership of procurement cost reduction, supply chain process improvement and developing procurement relationships across the business multiple UK locations.

A great opportunity to work with an experienced head of procurement and be part of developing procurement process and centralised procurement division from scratch.

Location – Bristol

Salary - £24000 - £30000

Key candidate requirements:

• Proven procurement experience in SME / environments
• Strong analytical ability
• Strong and confident negotiation skill’s
• Ability to build internal customer relationships and increase the visibility of procurement process while providing a first class service
• Strong IT skills with ERP / MRP experience beneficial
• Energetic and eager to use procurement skills to add value to the business
