Technical or Engineering background
Our client is world leading manufacturer and supplier of cables to the telecomms industry. We are recruiting a Business Development Manager with an engineering background, to grow the market share in the UK, and develop relationships within the industry.
Job Requirements:
-Identify customers and channels to generate revenue streams for the growing connectivity product portfolio for premises cabling.
-Build strong relationships with leading decision makers within the industry, encouraging them to move onto our clients branded solutions.
-Maintain and strengthen a collaborative relationship with both product management and technical support colleagues to jointly identify and eliminate gaps in the overall offering and value proposition.
Candidates will have experience within the cabling industry and have an understanding of structured cabling in the telecommunications market, and the UK data centre market. Ideally candidates will have an engineering background or qualification and have be educated to degree level. Previous experience in a sales role, and a strong ability to build relationships with contact at all levels.
This role will require travel throughout the UK, a full driving license and a willingness to stay away from home regularly is essential.
Candidates will also need to demonstrate sound commercial awareness and knowledge/experience in marketing, selling and customer service principles and techniques and have strong leadership skills.
