Environmental Policy Statement (ISO 14001:2004 – Clause 4.2)

This Policy is implemented by Matchtech Group and applies to all its subsidiaries including Barclay Meade.

Although Matchtech Group;, as a provider of services only, does not engage in any activities likely to cause gross pollution or degradation of the environment, the Company recognises that its operations will have environmental impacts and accepts the need to operate its business in a manner which reflects good environmental management. The Company will endeavour, at all times, to balance its business aims with the need to protect both the local and global environment. The Company is committed to providing the necessary financial and personnel resources to fulfil the Company’s environmental policy.

The Company is committed to preventing pollution, to minimise its environmental impacts and has a culture of continual improvements. The Company has implemented Environmental Management Systems to ensure that environmental issues are constantly addressed at all levels of the Company. Compliance with these systems is mandatory.

The Company seeks to comply with all relevant environmental Legislation and, where practicable, will strive to achieve standards of environmental performance, which are better than the legal minimum through the setting of objectives and targets.

Environmental objectives and targets are set at relevant levels, and will periodically be reviewed for effectiveness.

The Company endeavours to utilise sustainable materials and products, which are reusable or can be recycled. Where necessary, it will ensure that all wastes, particularly hazardous or contaminated wastes are disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner, in accordance with statutory duty of care requirements.

The Company communicates the Environmental Policy to all Company personnel and its suppliers, clients and contractors. The Policy is also freely available to regulatory agencies and (on request) the general public.

The Company will provide any necessary training and support to staff to ensure that they are able to fulfil the commitments given in this Policy Statement.
